Dirty Dan is the little brother of Dusty. In the episode "A Dirty Dusty Apology", he had a fight with Dusty when they were mining. They mine for gold, iron, and silver. In the episode "Fool for Gold", when he and Dusty think they were finding gold, they actually dug fool's gold.

Dirty Dan is kind, smart, and brave. In some episodes, he has an argument between his brother Dusty. But at last, they were happy together again.

- His name may be a reference to the Texas outlaw "Dirty Dan" from the SpongeBob SquarePants episode "Survival of the Idiots."
